I waited for my dad to come from work, since he knows all about it and he just sais..

I DONT WANT TO DOWNLOAD ANYTHING. i already ”deleted” the worm from my security center.. erased my documents and received files folders.. what else, um, i didnt want to reboot my computer or reinstall my msn since i want to know if there is another way that doesnt have to do that first.
i still have the damn worm in my msn.

Ya you really need to have malware protection I would get AVG to remove the virus. Google AVG and download the free version and then run a full computer scan. I just have have one question, Trojan Worm? I think your thinking about a Trojan horse or a worm. Trojans are easier to find and get rid of then a worm

help with these computer questions???

Here is four things I need to know the anwsers to… if you can help me in anyway I would love it so much! Thanks!

1. Under normal circumstances, you can’t erase or add any info to a:
A.Formatted floppy
B.rewitable CD
C.CD-rom
D.hard disk

2.What Important step should you take upon re-booting in the event the computer loses power before Windows can shut down properly?
A.Delete any files still in the recycle bin
B.Run the ScanDisk feature
C. Test your mouse
D. Open your web browser

3. A computer’s CPU and hard drive are found in the:
A. keyboard
B. Power bar
C. main peripheral device
D. system unit

4. An ellipsis following a menu item tells you:
A. there’s a submenu that offers additional choices/
B. the item is linked to a web site
C.your hard drive is out of space
D.a dialog box is available

Answer to question 1:
C Why? Because CD-rom stand for Compact Disk – Read Only Memory, teh rest of the media is writable meaning you can modify it (erase or add)

Answer to question 2:
B Why? Because in case there was data that was corrupted during the power down this will try and fix those errors to prevent further damage to the file system

Answer to question 3:
D why? Although not too clear the answer considers the system unit to be your “case”
a keyboard is simply a peripheral that does not contain much electronics.
a Powerbars…. well they can be delicious, but also some use the term power bar for surge protectors.
main peripheral device, truly i do not know what they consider “the main peripheral device” maybe the monitor, printer… who knows.
that is why you best answer is D

Answer to question 4:
well to tell you the truth the question itself is rather obscure, al previous question are regarding hardware.
This question is focusing on software and an assumption is not easily made, since different system behave differently, i can’t assume the question is based on a windows system or any other system for that matter. for that i will say the aswer could be:

E. All or none of the above

I can not read emails from my yahoo and Norton 360 generally allows access to anything with a password.?

I have a Dell Vista Home Premium on this. When McAfee free 30 days is over, I stopped being able read the text on my e-mail or write, and delete my Yahoo account. I tried coding and deleting cookies, etc. The story of this is not work. Now, I have Norton 360 for protection that I could not successfully load McAfee again and it's not like anything I access password (inc my account Norton), can someone help. It's driving me nuts !!!!!! its

Sounds like Norton 360 is on alert and do not like any form of Internet activity. Personally, I can not recommend a particular configuration of Norton, however, we recommend not spend money on Norton again. There are a few free antivirus applications on the network to obtain the same results (If not better) job than Norton. For example, Avast and AVG. Try uninstalling Norton and using the network. If it works, Avast given a chance. Download and install Norton and back to the bank if you are very happy with Avast (and the Internet in their fine work). http://ma.gnolia.com/gazushav

Blocking some sites on Google Chrome and Internet Explorer?

I have this 15 years-old sister who, without my parents realizing, opens forbidden sites on her age. (what do you usually call it on the west? I’m not a native, so I wouldn’t know)
So well, I’m trying to block the sites she usually open, but in Chrome and IE I don’t know how, luckily she doesn’t know how to erase the history on the browsers.
I’m sorry, she’s even younger, she’s 13

Here is a link that will explain step by step how to block sites in Internet Explorer

A word, hello Like Google Chromeo € ™ s incognito

A word, hello Google Chromeo ™ € s Incognito mode.
Lee Brannon

Google Chrome has the potential to become one of the main browsers used on the network. It has a streamlined interface and many new features that make it attractive browser. A feature can however be confusing to potential users.
Google Chrome in incognito mode is designed to allow users to surf the Internet without leaving a trace. Most browsers cache information about where you were and what you've downloaded all the websites you visit. This information is stored as part of your history files and download files. Incognito mode lets Google use in collecting this information. Â

The intention is to allow a way of doing things in private so that other users of the same team Wona € ™ t know what we did. Need to order flowers for a loved one, but Donâ € ™ t want you to know who you're shopping for flowers online? The role of infiltration Wona € ™ Google does allow normal signals and tracks.

So What € ™ s wrong with it? Well for one thing Google and others on the subject have not been this tool sufficiently clear. Unfortunately, people tend to ignore if this function is for. This includes navigation with impunity in the detection, but is not the case. To quote Google € ™ s own warning "navigator Google Chrome incognito mode only keeps the information storage Web sites you've visited. Web sites you visit may still be records of your visit. The files stored on your computer will remain on your computer. "In other words, the websites you visit may store information about your visit. Another thing it is not clear at all is that everything you made on the Web, or in disguise or not, most often recorded by your service provider.

Even more alarming is the fact that some people can take what their employers do not know what they do. Before deciding to take your bosses or supervisors and spend the day reading the results Athletes should be aware that this feature does not keep your IT department to report on what has been done. If your company regularly checks browsing habits, and many do, you may find yourself in a world of pain. Most corporate networks use some form of monitoring. Internet links usually pass through a device like a router or firewall. These devices maintain a log file of all traffic. Commonly used programs Syslog surveillance or Internet Protocol log file location other programs use log files record all the places in your computer connects Internet and how times are for connections. This is usually related to the MAC address of your computer hardware.

Moreover, if you want to keep someone else in your team to see what he does in the network can erase history, cookies and files cache in most browsers. Firefox, for example, will do a "Clear Private Data" and allows you to delete Internet Explorer history and caches, but in both cases, the story and clear all cache files. The advantage of Google Chrome incognito mode is that it prevents This information is collected in the browser during the time in silent mode is activated. This allows even a glance at the history of your files if you want to see where it was compared with the stealth mode. Again, none of these methods to ensure that your service provider or your employer have a record, but it can help to keep Jimmy in ignorance of what they were ordering scooter.

In summary.

 · Google Chrome € ™ s role is beneficial, but can be misleading.

 · incognito mode only keeps the history, memory cache and cookies on the local computer fair for the browser you use, during the active power mode.

 • Use unnamed documents does not preclude being stored at Web sites you visit, your service provider or in the case of a computer in the company his employer.

To activate the Google Chrome Incognito Just select the window "Incognito new option in the Tools menu.

You can also launch Google Chrome in incognito mode on a Windows computer (PC version is not yet available), adding the unknown parameters finish line of a shortcut. Note that the story is devoid of any site you visit that way.

Remember, incognito or not, you do is recorded web somewhere.

erasing history?

ok how do I erase the cookies that show everything I have looked at online.I deleted temporary cookies internet but I don’t want old things popping up that I have searched like on the main pages for google and yahoo. I want to reset everything.I dont want anyone to see what I have searched for.

hit control button and then H button.. a list will appear. highlight history and hit delete button. Cookies, BTW do not have anything to do with history list, but better to delete them so you don’t get spammed with porn.

also if you are just typing websites addresses in the yahoo search bar..you’ll need to go into preferences and clear those entries as well.
